FUERZA DE TRABAJO NACIONAL Y DE LA AGRICULTURA Entre 2013 y 2018 el sector agrícola, en promedio, ha aumentado el total de ocupados en un 8,0%. La tasa de cesantía que se presenta en el sector agrícola para el periodo comprendido entre 2013 y 2018 es menor a la presentada en el promedio de trabajadores de la economía. Se observa que la tasa de cesantía en el sector agrícola presenta un aumento de 2,2 puntos porcentuales entre 2013 y 2018. La participación de la ocupación agrícola en el periodo bajo análisis se ha mantenido prácticamente invariable en un 9,2%. Esto confirma que el sector agrícola continúa representando una de las actividades económicas de mayor importancia respecto de la generación de empleo, siendo aún más relevante en zonas rurales. EN PROMEDIO DURANTE 2018 LA CATEGORÍA DE EMPLEO “ASALARIADO” (BAJO CONTRATO) REPRESENTÓ EL 64,7% DEL TOTAL DEL EMPLEO SECTORIAL. DURING 2018, HIRED LABOR REPRESENTED 64.7% OF SECTORIAL EMPLOYMENT. D. AGRICULTURAL LABOR FORCE Between 2013 and 2018, employment in agriculture increased by an annual average of 8%. Unemployment in agriculture between 2013 and 2018 remained lower than the average for the economy as a whole. It is worth noting that, over the same period, the rate of unemployment in the agricultural sector showed a downward trend, decreasing by 2.2%. The share of agricultural employment between 2013 and 2018 remained broadly unchanged in 9.2%. This confirms that farming continues to be one of the most important economic activities in terms of job creation, particularly in rural areas.
