Según cifras del Servicio Nacional de Aduanas, durante 2017 las exportaciones chilenas de miel totalizaron 5 millones de toneladas avaluadas en 16 millones de dólares, cifra que a 2018 ha subido a 8,4 millones toneladas por un valor de 29 millones de dólares. El principal destino sigue siendo Alemania con un porcentaje que fluctúa entre 65% y 75% de las exportaciones anuales. Otros importantes países de destino son Francia, Austria y Suiza. Chile produces between 7,000 and 11,000 tonnes of honey (the principal product from beekeeping) each year. It is mainly exported to the European Union. According to the National Customs Service, Chilean honey exports in 2018 totalled 8,4 millions of tonnes, generating a revenue of USD 29 millions, 45% more than previous year. In this last season, our most significant markets were Germany (65-75% of the market) and France, ahead of Austria and Switzerland.
