Cabedestacarque,paraseguirpotenciandolasostenibilidad en el sector agropecuario, ODEPA trabaja activamente con la Agencia de Sustentabilidad y Cambio Climático (ASCC) para incorporar los 10 principios de agricultura sostenible definidos en el Protocolo de Agricultura Sustentable en los APL del sector. Several achievements have resulted from the implementation of CPAs: a reduction in the energy consumed by olive oil producers, from 2.9 kWh/kg of oil, to 1.8 kWh/kg of oil; a drop of almost 6% in the annual mortality of hive bees and an increase of more than 1,500 kg in the estimated annual production of honey among bee-keepers; and a fall of 38% in water consumption per tonne of end product in the food processing industry. It should be noted that, in an effort to continue strengthening CPAs in the agricultural sector, ODEPA signed a collaborative agreement with the Sustainability and Climate Change Agency (ASCC) to include the ten principles of sustainability, as defined in the Sustainable Agriculture Protocol.
